CASE STUDY: Bridgetown Printing PROJECT: Facility opening

Challenge

To inform Bridgetown’s clients about their relocation from downtown Portland to Swan Island, and educate clients about equipment, capabilities, and staff in a dynamic, memorable way.

Hook

1920s Vintage Carnival, Big Top Bash

Tactics

To create excitement around Bridgetown’s new facility, Fusion Event Marketing transformed their warehouse into a swanky, 1920's-inspired big top. In addition to creating an invitation that highlighted Bridgetown’s printing capabilities, stilt walkers also hand-delivered invitations to a select group of clients.

On the night of the event, stilt walkers and fire-breathers directed guests to off-site parking where limousines and stretch hummers shuttled guests to the entrance of the big top. There, they were welcomed with calliope music and greeted by performers and Bridgetown employees.

Once inside, guests received a station map and passport card. Each station highlighted Bridgetown's equipment and capabilities, and encouraged guests to complete their passport to be entered into a drawing.

The evening's entertainment included aerial dancers who swung from the rafters of the warehouse, palm and tarot card readers, jugglers, stilt-walkers, and a strong-man game. The warehouse was adorned with midway-style lights, swags of dark burgundy and black fabric, hundreds of gold accent candles, and bistro tables with red rose centerpieces. Guests snacked on gourmet carnival-inspired food, such as mini caramel apples and sausage corn dogs.

Results

Fusion Event Marketing produced a successful event that attracted approximately 600 guests to Bridgetown’s new facility. Bridgetown Printing was very pleased with what they considered a “high-flying” success.
